Walking

Near Marcel de Gand, you will find the Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen nature reserve. From the birdwatching hut by the large lake, you can observe the most extraordinary waterfowl from up close. Tip: it is at its most beautiful during dawn. You can also download a pre-planned walking route via Routen.be.

Cycling

A cycling paradise. Located near a cycling node of the Flemish network, you can effortlessly cycle towards the green outskirts, along the Leie, or to the vibrant heart of the cycling city of Ghent.

Don’t have a bike with you? You can easily rent one via De Fietsambassade Gent or Rent a Bike. Furthermore, your own bicycle can be stored safely with us.

Boating
